How Saleto Mail works

Guide · Updated July 23, 2026

Saleto Mail is a web mailbox for addresses on saleto.com. After you sign in, you work in a familiar mail layout: a folder list, a message list, and a reading pane for full threads. This guide explains the product model so you know what each area is for.

Mailbox layout

The left side of the app lists standard folders such as Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Spam, and Trash, plus any custom folders you create. Selecting a folder loads that folder’s message list. Selecting a message opens the thread view so you can read the full conversation, reply, forward, move, or delete.

Search is available from the mailbox chrome so you can find messages by the terms you type, instead of scrolling every folder manually. Refresh reloads the active folder when you want the latest server state.

Reading threads

Many conversations arrive as related messages over time. Saleto Mail presents those as a thread so you can see the subject, sender identity, timing, and body content in one place. When a thread includes attachments, they appear with the message so you can preview or download them according to your account permissions.

Thread tools typically include reply, reply all, forward, move to another folder, mark as spam or safe, and delete. Use spam marking when a message is unwanted; use safe marking when a message was misclassified and should be treated as legitimate mail.

Sending mail

Compose opens a writing surface for a new message. You choose recipients, subject, and body, then send. Drafts retain work in progress. Sent holds copies of outbound mail. If your account supports scheduled send, you can cancel a scheduled message before it goes out from the thread tools.

Invite-aware inbox

Unlike a fully open mailbox, Saleto Mail is designed around controlled sender introduction. That means some messages or sender paths may require invite or approval steps before they behave like ordinary trusted mail. See Invite-only email explained for the policy intent behind that design.

Settings and profile

Account settings cover profile details, password changes, verification options, and related mailbox preferences. Keep your recovery information current so you can regain access if you lose a device or forget a password. Security specifics are covered in Account security and SMS codes.
