Privacy Policy & Terms of Service — invite-only traceable email
This page contains Saleto Mail’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service in one place. Use the links above to jump between sections. By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to both documents.
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Saleto Mail, including mailboxes on saleto.com and related websites, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Simple yes Corp ("Saleto", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy below.
1. The Service & Operational Limits
Saleto Mail is an invite-oriented email platform providing mailbox hosting, message delivery, security controls (including spam handling and sender trust lists), optional SMS one-time passcodes for account security, and related features.
To maintain platform stability, high deliverability, and server performance for all users, we reserve the right to enforce structural and operational limits, including but not limited to:
- Maximum storage capacity quotas per mailbox.
- Maximum file size restrictions for inbound and outbound email attachments.
- Hourly or daily transmission caps on outgoing messages (SMTP limits) to prevent system abuse.
- API request thresholds.
We may add, modify, throttle, or discontinue specific technical features, limits, or protocols at any time.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date registration information, keep your access credentials strictly confidential, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use or security breach.
3. Invite-Only Mail, Routing Realities, and Inactivity
Saleto Mail is built around invite codes and sender trust layers. Inbound mail from unknown external senders may be systematically filtered to your spam folder until an invite code is validated or the sender is explicitly marked safe. You are responsible for configuring and managing your invite codes, safe sender lists, and blocked domain preferences.
Email is structurally a "store-and-forward" protocol. While we maintain industry-standard protocols, we do not guarantee the instant delivery, receipt, or routing timeline of any specific message. Delivery may be impacted or delayed by external mail network status, remote mail server graylisting, or DNS propagation issues out of our direct control.
Account Inactivity and Abandonment
To protect rare domain resources and prevent security exploits on dormant mailboxes, accounts that remain completely inactive (no logins or active mail routing) for a continuous period of 180 days may be flagged as abandoned. Saleto reserves the right to suspend or terminate inactive accounts, purge accumulated mailbox contents, and reclaim the custom mailbox address following prior notification to your recovery contact email.
4. Acceptable Use & Infrastructure Protection
You agree to use Saleto Mail exclusively for lawful, standard communications. You explicitly agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
- Send spam, bulk unsolicited marketing, deceptive phishing campaigns, malware, or fraudulent content.
- Harass, threaten, defame, stalk, or abuse others.
- Attempt to bypass application security, access another user's mailbox without authorization, or perform automated scanning, probing, or vulnerability testing on our systems or infrastructure networks.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its core email routing infrastructure (including mail bombing, deliberate IP reputation degradation, or intentional manipulation of SPF, DKIM, or DMARC records).
- Utilize automated scripts or bots to programmatically generate accounts or scrap mail databases.
We reserve the right to audit technical logs, investigate suspected system violations, and immediately suspend or permanently terminate accounts that create security, legal, reputation, or operational risks to our platform or our infrastructure partners.
5. SMS Messages
If you provide a mobile number, check the SMS consent box, and request a verification or recovery code, you consent to receive SMS text messages from Saleto Mail containing one-time passcodes for account security. Message frequency is up to 5 messages per month, triggered strictly when you explicitly request a code. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Mobile opt-in data and consent are strictly confidential and will not be shared with third parties for their own marketing programs. See our SMS Opt-In disclosure.
6. Linked Accounts
You may link multiple Saleto mailboxes to switch between them seamlessly without re-entering passwords, subject to validation and approval by the respective mailbox owners. Account linking does not merge distinct billing plans, storage quotas, or legal liabilities between separate accounts. You may decouple or unlink accounts at any time from your mailbox profile settings.
7. Content License & Our Core Privacy Guarantee
You retain complete ownership of all content, message body text, HTML markup, graphics, and attachments you transmit or receive through the Service.
To operate the platform effectively, you grant Saleto a limited, secure, and worldwide license to host, process, transmit, and display your content solely as necessary to run the Service for you. In alignment with our strict Privacy Policy, this license is restricted to automated, algorithmic parsing utilities—such as compiling internal search indices, running server-side malware scans, and executing spam filters.
We do not read, humanly review, or scan your email text or attachments to build profiles or serve targeted advertisements.
The Saleto name, logos, custom application software, and branding elements are our exclusive property and may not be copied or used without prior permission.
8. Privacy and Security
Our data collection, usage practices, security frameworks, and strict 30/60-day data retention timelines are governed by our Privacy Policy below, which is fully incorporated into these Terms.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, COMPLETELY ERROR-FREE, SECURE, TIMELY, OR FREE OF MALICIOUS OR HARMFUL UTILITIES.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SALETO AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF USD $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE IMPACTED EVENT.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Saleto and its corporate affiliates from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, your transmitted message content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Account Termination & Purge Timelines
You may delete your account permanently at any time from your Profile settings. Upon account termination, all associated profile parameters, message archives, and transmission metadata enter an automated teardown cycle, which permanently purges your production records within 30 days and completely overwrites disaster recovery backups within a maximum of 60 days, as specified in our Privacy Policy.
We may also suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for immediate infrastructure security or legal compliance. Provisions that by their natural architecture should survive termination will survive.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to align with new legal structures or service changes. If we execute material updates, we will post the revised version inside the platform dashboard and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of Saleto Mail after modifications take effect constitutes explicit acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal disputes or claims arising out of these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, unless otherwise restricted by applicable local consumer protection mandates.

Simple yes Corp ("Saleto", "we", "us", or "our") operates Saleto Mail. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our websites, mailboxes, protocols, and related communication services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Account and Profile Information
- Identity Data: Name, mailbox address, and account passwords. Passwords are cryptographically hashed upon creation, never stored in plaintext, and cannot be read by our staff.
- Verification & Recovery: Date of birth, mobile phone number, and alternate (backup) email addresses utilized strictly for verification, security, and account recovery.
- Preferences: Invite codes, local timezone, email signatures, display layouts, and mailbox configurations.
Email Content, Metadata, and Communications
- Mailbox Data: Messages you send, receive, and store, including headers, routing data, body text, HTML markup, embedded elements, and file attachments.
- Organizational Data: Folder structures, custom labels, read/unread flags, tracking tags, and communication rules.
- Security Lists: Address book entries, safe sender lists, blocked domains, and distrusted sender configurations that you manage.
Technical, Protocol, and Connection Data
- Access Logs: IP addresses, browser types, operating system identifiers, timestamps, and direct API requests.
- Mail Server & Sync Logs: Inbound and outgoing connection records, including mail server IP addresses used for authentication handshakes (SPF, DKIM, DMARC verifications), and synchronization logs from standard email protocols (such as SMTP, IMAP, or POP3 connections).
- SMS Delivery Logs: Transactional metadata generated when you request a one-time passcode via our telecommunications infrastructure.
2. Our Core Privacy Guarantee & How We Use Data
Our Commitment to Your Privacy: We do not read, analyze, or scan the contents of your email messages, attachments, or metadata to build profiles or serve targeted advertisements. Automated scanning is performed strictly for functional, security-related mailbox operations.
We use your information exclusively to:
- Operate the Service: Provide, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot mailbox hosting, mail routing, search indexing, and synchronization across devices.
- Protect Your Mailbox: Run automated server-side filters to detect and block spam, malicious tracking pixels, phishing attempts, viruses, and malware.
- Ensure Security: Authenticate user accounts, monitor for unauthorized access attempts, and prevent systemic abuse or platform fraud.
- Deliver Communications: Send transactional notifications and automated SMS verification codes that you explicitly trigger.
- Maintain Compliance: Comply with applicable legal obligations, enforce our terms of service, and protect the rights and safety of our users.
We do not sell your personal information or email data to anyone.
3. SMS and Phone Numbers
We use your phone number only for security-related SMS messages you explicitly request, such as signup verification, multi-factor profile authentication, and password reset codes. Message frequency is limited (typically up to 5 SMS per month when you request codes). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out where supported. Mobile opt-in data and consent are strictly confidential and are not shared with third parties for their own marketing programs. See SMS Opt-In.
4. How We Share Information
We only share information with third parties in the limited circumstances outlined below:
- Subprocessors and Service Providers: We partner with trusted infrastructure providers—such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) for secure cloud hosting, storage, and mail delivery infrastructure—and telecommunications providers for SMS delivery. These vendors operate under strict contractual data protection agreements limiting their data use solely to providing services to us.
- Intended Recipients: The recipients of your email messages receive the exact content, headers, and attachments you choose to send them.
- Legal & Safety Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by enforceable law, court orders, subpoenas, or when necessary to protect the safety, properties, and vital rights of our users or the platform.
- Business Operations: In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred, subject to the buyer maintaining the commitments established in this Privacy Policy.
5. Cookies, Sessions, and Local Storage
The Saleto Mail web application uses secure browser local storage and session tokens to maintain your authenticated login state, keep your session active, and remember interface preferences (such as folder sort order and theme selection).
We do not use third-party advertising, tracking, or marketing cookies within the authenticated mailbox application.
If you use the free (ad-supported) mailbox tier on public or free-tier surfaces, advertisements may be served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads and measure performance. You can manage personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings and review Google’s advertising policy. Premium mailboxes configured as paid without ads do not load AdSense in the mailbox application.
6. Data Retention and Deletion Timelines
We retain your account profile and mailbox contents for as long as your account remains active.
- Production Deletion: When you initiate an account deletion through your profile settings, all associated personal data, mailbox archives, configuration settings, and metadata will be permanently purged from our active production databases within 30 days.
- Backup Lifecycle: Disconnected, encrypted disaster recovery backups containing snapshot remnants of deleted accounts are automatically rotated, overwritten, and entirely purged within a maximum of 60 days from the date of account deletion.
7. Your Choices and Data Portability Rights
- Profile Management: You can review, update, or correct your profile information and security options at any time inside your mailbox settings.
- Data Portability (Mail Export): You maintain full ownership over your communication data. You have the right to export your entire mailbox history, folder structures, and contacts in standard industry formats (such as .mbox or .eml) directly through your account dashboard at any point prior to closing your account.
- Account Termination: You can choose to permanently close your account and wipe your data via your Profile Settings page.
- Regional Rights: Depending on your location, you may have additional statutory rights (such as access, rectification, or restriction under regulations like the GDPR or CCPA) which can be exercised by contacting our privacy team.
8. Security Infrastructure
We deploy administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to defend your communication infrastructure. This includes complete encryption in transit using high-grade HTTPS/TLS protocols for all incoming and outgoing connections, robust interior access controls, and partitioning across highly secure, industry-compliant data center facilities. However, because no method of data transmission over the internet or electronic storage is entirely infallible, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for or directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete that data from our systems.
10. International Data Transfers
Saleto Mail operations and servers are managed primarily in the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States (including the European Union, Canada, or the Asia-Pacific region), please note that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where our central infrastructure operates.
11. Policy Modifications
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect shifts in our features, operational changes, or updating legal landscapes. When updates occur, we will adjust the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. For any material changes affecting how we handle your personal data or email contents, we will provide a prominent notice directly within the application layout or via your primary contact email address before the changes take effect.
